Rental Programs Administered
Taylor Housing Authority administers two programs. The public housing program and the Housing Choice Voucher program.
THA currently owns Mary Olson apartments. The waiting list is currently about 18-24 months long, depending on the size of unit needed. if you have applied, please make sure to report any changes to address or phone number while on the waiting list. This is the only way we can contact you. At this time the Public Housing Waiting list is (NOT) accepting applications.
THA also administers a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program which assists approximately 210 families. The Voucher program is a rental subsidy program where families choose where they want to live (based on certain criteria) and the rental subsidy is paid to the landlord. If anyone is interested in leasing their units to a Section 8 participant, they should contact our office at (512) 352-3231 ext. 112. Applications for the voucher program are only accepted periodically as vouchers become available.
The Section 8 Voulcher Program is (NOT) accepting applications at this time.
